It's here... and it's never been hotter, 'cause I'll be spending this summer in Maryland!

It's been a week and two days since I unpacked my stuff in apartment 245-10. For almost a month, I'd been a little concerned about the whole traveling and being-away-from-home-for-two-months experience, but so far I've managed to survive. Sure I miss being around my family and spending time with my friends, especially my boyfriend, but I feel this is something I had to do sooner or later. I had never boarded a plane without my family (or at least friends), I had never had to live in an apartment with people I didn't know, and I had never been on an internship, so that's at least three birds I'm gonna kill with one summer.

I'm currently working on a project titled 'Micro-robot control and coordination', and will be for the next nine weeks, Monday through Friday, from nine to five. The project is pretty complex; it requires knowledge of differential equations, electrical systems and circuit design, computer architecture, power, probability and statistics, signals and systems, [...] but that makes it the more fascinating. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have become more experienced in these fields, and thus the micro-robots will have a better sense of direction.

I've been doing a lot of reading on RSSI and TDOA techniques, and also I've been playing around with Matlab. However, I'm also using the time to learn new skills. And, ladies and gentlemen, today I became a level 8 Juggler! And what does that imply, you may ask? Well, it means that I can juggle three balls at a time for 8 consecutive tosses on average, which is pretty sweet considering the last time I tried (many, many years ago) I couldn't even keep two in the air at once. Besides, this was actually one of the things on my bucket list. I might also go water rafting next week, so that's another. God, it feels so good to cross these out.

Oh, one thing that wasn't on my bucket list (but which I definitely crossed it out as I wrote it, was watching X-Men: First Class. Oh, it was soo goood (and Magneto is so good looking!). In fact, I decided that I would download the rest of the X-Men movies; already watched the first one and loved it. That means I'll be watching X2, The Last Stand, and Wolverine soon enough, but I will also be watching a couple of series. I'm already up to date with The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and Bored to Death; all great series. I also downloaded Chuck (I'm currently watching season 3, it's excellent), The Walking Dead (recommended by my boyfriend, still haven't watched it) and I downloaded the first episode of Platinum Hit (still haven't watched it either). Oh, and I also downloaded He's Just Not That Into You, so that's another movie I'll be watching.

So yeah, I've barely touched Photoshop in the time I've been here, but that doesn't mean it'll stay that way. I have to do a poster by the end of the program, so I'll definitely start it up anyway (for those of you waiting for Lugia/Shadow Lugia, do not despair!).

Hope you're all great and doing something productive with your lives this summer. And yes, in my world, watching movies does count as productive. Peace and love. Art and Music.

P.S. Just noticed that my previous post was exactly one year ago... so freaking awesome.
